The Latin American Steel Association (Alacero) released on 21st the 25 member countries’ results of steelproduction, steel trade and domestic apparent steel consumption in January-October. According to it, such actual statewas brought out that 35% or 53,718 thousand tons (abbreviated as t/t) (down 2% from the same period last year) of themember countries’ steel use were covered by imports while their domestic production continuously decreased.
