摘要

A new quinolyl-based ligand presents three amide functionalities to act as hydrogen-bond accepting groups to a metal-bound substrate at a well-defined distance. As a confirmation of the design strategy, CH _3CN coordinated to copper(ii) participates in CH-O interactions in the solid state and in solution.
