A novel heterometallic Co6Fe6 Schiff base complex, possessing an unprecedented {M-12(mu-X)(22)} branched structure (according to the search via the Cambridge Structural Database), has been prepared using the "direct synthesis" approach and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and magnetometry.
