摘要

An attempt has been made to find out the economic performance of dry land horticultural based farming system. The present study based on horti - pastoral system and life of analysis is based on 25 years. The data on various activities involved in raising horticultute crop (ber) as the mam crop. The space between ber plants was used for pasture development. The returns from sale of ber fruit and pasture seed were considered for the study. The results revealed that horti - pastoral system is highly viable based on B-C ratio, Net Present Worth (NPW) and annuity value at the 10% rate of interest. The per year NPW (called annuity value) estimated around Rs.20,5000.00. The sensitivity analysis further indicated a viable system having B-C ratio more than 1 and positive Net Present Worth and high annuity value.
