Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has threatened to fire Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Andrei Kobolev if the latter refuses to lower the gas price for households and district heating companies. Naftogaz previously suggested that gas prices could be lowered thanks to the availability of cheap gas, but the government should still stick to its commitment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and annul Naftogaz’s obligation to provide gas at below-market prices to households.
