Saipem CEO Stefano Cao expects to see major project activity recovering to more normal levels in 2021, based on discussions with oil and gas company clients. However state-owned companies, especially those in the Middle East, are proceeding more cautiously with their investments, he said on Wednesday. The Italian energy services provider, which reported a sharp drop in second-quarter revenue and earnings, said clients were delaying but not canceling projects so far.
