Dated Brent — the North Sea benchmark used to price about two-thirds of the world’s physically traded oil — could soon incorporate US light crude from the Permian Basin. S&P Global Platts has proposed including West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude shipped from Midland, Texas, in the basket of crudes it uses in its dated Brent price assessments.
