Coal India (CIL) fell wide of its production target in January, asoutput had to be restrained due to fog impacting dispatches by rail.The miner missed its output goal by 10%, producing 56.69 mt,against an objective of 63.32 mt. However, production was up 1%on the year, from 55.99 mt.Sales were up 5% on the year in January, to 53.70 mt from51.35 mt, but were 6% short of the 57.36 mt target.
