LME copper continues to ignore stagnant fundamentals while pricesclose in on the $7,000-per-tonne mark, market analysts andparticipants said.The LME’s three-month copper price traded at a three-year high of$6,970 per tonne on Tuesday September 5, the same day that 25 lotsof copper for delivery in December 2019 traded at $7,003 per tonne.In a year where the market has been rocked by supply disruptionsat the world’s two biggest copper mines, premiums on refined metalhave remained around rock-bottom levels globally, while TC/RCs havefound a balance after diving early in the year.
