Brazil saw its pig iron export volumes rise by 13.78% year-on-year inSeptember, according to figures released by foreign trade ministryMDIC on Thursday October 5.Shipments totalled 229,641 tonnes, against 201,834 tonnes a yearbefore.This growth was mostly due to increased exports to Italy and theNetherlands.Pig iron shipments to Italy rose to 34,145 tonnes last month from 80tonnes in September 2016, while exports to the Netherlands rose to32,248 tonnes from 1,500 tonnes.
