Calgary—Inter Pipeline said it remains focused on developing its Heartland Petrochemical Complex in Canada; however, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected near-term construction execution plans, which will impact capital costs and may extend the construction schedule (PCN, 24 Feb 2020, p 2). The project, located near the company's Redwater Ole-finic Fractionator, will convert 22,000 b/d of propane into 525,000 t/y of polypropylene (PP) using W. R. Grace & Co.'s Unipol PP process technology.
