Jakarta-Indonesia's PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) is expected to complete feasibility studies by the end of this month for a coal gasification project in Sumatra, Indonesia, reported the Jakarta Post citing PTBA President Director Arviyan Arifin. The project, which involves setting up a coal gasification plant in Peranap, Riau, and one in Muara Enim, will enable PTBA to produce polypropylene (PP), urea, dimethyl ether (DME) and synthetic natural gas (SNG).
