Hanoi-TechnipFMC said it received a contract from Long Son Petrochemicals (LSP) for the licensing, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up of Vietnam's "largest" olefins plant (PCN, 13 Aug 2018, p 1). LSP, to be located in Vung Tau Province, will be Vietnam's "first" fully integrated petrochemical complex. Estimated to cost around $5.4-billion, the project includes a 1-million-t/y ethylene cracker with the capacity to produce up to 1.6-million t/y of linear low-density polyethylene (PE), high-density PE and polypropylene.
