Tokyo—DIG Corp. announced that its subsidiary. DIC EP Corp., experienced an explosion on 6 Sept. 2018 at its engineering plastics plant in Kashima, Japan. During welding of an outdoor storage tank, a spark ignited gas within the tank causing an explosion without fire, resulting in the death of one employee and the injury of another.
