Singapore— Huntsman Corp. has completed a capacity expansion for specialty amines at its world-scale plant on Jurong Island in Singapore (PCN, 11 May 2015, p 2). The $100-million project involved doubling polyether-amines capacity to 50,000 t/y from 25,000 t/y. The facility was backward integrated in the form of a purpose-built alkoxylation unit to produce polyols and alkoxylates from locally sourced feedstock.
