Optical properties of ZnO/Black Phosphorus/ZnO sandwich structures

摘要

ZnO/black phosphorus (BP)/ZnO sandwich structures are prepared via a combination of atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique and spin-coating approach. The thickness of the ZnO layers is controlled to be about 40 nm via tuning the number of ALD cycles, while the amount of BP nanosheets can be tuned during the spin coating process. The obtained ZnO/BP/ZnO are characterized by X-ray diffractometer, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Raman, and optical spectroscopy. It is found that there are strong interactions between the BP nanosheets and ZnO layers, as confirmed by XPS and Raman spectra, which thus affects the optical properties of ZnO. To be specific, the synthesized samples show an enhancement of the nearband edge emission and a reduction of the deep level emission with good long-term stability, due to the passivation of the defects in the formed BP-ZnO interface.
