Washington—COMEX copper futures lost more than 2 cents/lb Friday heading into the Christmas holiday week after failing to re- cover from a selloff in early London trading. Copper for March delivery, the active month, closed down 2.05 cents/lb at 280.60 cents/lb after falling from 282.50 cents/lb to 280.50 cents/lb in early London trading. The market held that level but could not rebound above 281.50 cents/lb. For the week, however, March COMEX gained 2.50 cents/lb.
