London—The expansion plan at the Kevitsa copper-nickel mine in Finland is running around six months ahead of schedule, Swed- ish owner Boliden said Thursday. “As a result of bringing investments forward, it is anticipated that an annual production rate of 9.5 million mt will be reached as early as the second quarter 2020. This is around six months earlier than previously anticipated,” the company said in its 2019 results statement.
