Indian state-owned Indian Oil Corp.'s(IOCL)planned expansion of its 300K-b/d refinery in Paradip has been delayed due to problems with land acquisition.The expansion,which will include a 1.2MM-mt/y purified terephfhalic acid,a 108K-mt/y polyester staple fiber plant,dual-feed cracker,naphtha-based cracker,and petroleum coke gasification plant,is intended to provide feed to a proposed PC complex.IOCL had already a commissioned a 680K-mt/y propylene plant in Feb.and has awarded construction contracts for a 180K-mt/y ethylene recovery unit and 357K mt/y monoethylene glycol plant to construction company L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering.
