Agrochemex agronomist John Keer says last season's findings about the shifting populations merely reinforce the need to take control from the outset. "Seven-day intervals have to become the norm," says Dr Keer. Good dump hygiene helps minimise initialdisease pressure, he agrees. "But if the weather is right for blight you're going to get it."
