Clustering Analysis on Indonesian Education Quality Performance Using Input-Output Model

摘要

Education in a development country is still a matter. Although it has been 70 years from its independence, Indonesia is still trying to mature its education system. There are many issues regarding education, one of them is related to inequality of education quality in Indonesia’sregions. Another issue is about facilities support to the education process. This paper is trying to compare the performance of elementary school level education among provinces using an adjusted input-output model. The model is simulated using clustering method for each dataset (input, educationsupport and output) and then compared the result to each other. The clustering results unveil the differences between input, output and education supports in the terms of inequality. After the model is simulated using the clustering results, it proves that the input-education support-outputrelation model is quite representative to illustrates the performance of Indonesian education quality in elementary school level.
