摘要

In the past decade worldwide, investment in learning technologies to advance and expand educational opportunities has been the core activity for the higher education sector. While the sector had adopted technologies tailored to their institutions’ need, the military educationsector in the Far East, on the other hand, lagged in taking advantage of newly available learning technologies for gaining and promoting their learning experience. This paper discusses designing a soldier-centric online learning environment through the application of a networked communicationsystem. The design utilizes principles from the enterprise architecture (EA) framework integrated with total learning architecture (TLA), the standardized Web service specifications for learning media that originated with the U.S. Department of Defense Advanced Distributed Learning initiative.
