摘要

Post-kidding behaviuor and production performance of dams usually vary with single and twin kids. Understanding the behaviour of the dam during kidding provides cue that can be exploited for identifying, predicting and interpreting goal directed towards actions and welfare. In pre-kidding period, goats tended to isolate themselves from their flocks for proper maternal care and bonding. In post-kidding period, goats interact with kids and groom to improve circulation, milk suckling and standing on feet. Study of post-kidding behaviour along with blood metabolites and hormones will help us to understand the problems and stress level in goats in an order to adopt the standard management practices at farm to reduce untoward effect.
