摘要

In the past, image quality assessment has been performed by comparing modified or reconstructed. 2D images with an original image, to evaluate several quality measurements, like the mean squared error, peak signal-to-noise ratio, normalized cross correlation, maximum difference, etc. Nowadays, 3D imaging technology plays a crucial role in the advancement of stereo vision. To date, the evaluation of 3D image quality measurements which can demonstrate the basic cause and effect of using a larger or lesser disparity of stereo images on the process of generating a clear 3D image has not been discussed. Therefore, in this paper, a different approach to evaluating the objective quality of methods is developed, based on a stereo image perception model, where distorted 3D images are compared with the original stereo image pairs, having greater or lesser disparities in terms of visualization and irrespective of any fixed measurements of disparity values.
