Cybersecurity is all over the news and is a frequent topic in my monthly column. One high-profile infiltration of an organization's computer network is the alleged attempt by employees of the St. Louis Cardinals major league baseball team to steal proprietary information from their archrival, the Houston Astros. The hacking attack to gain an edge in the Na-tional League standings was achieved by compromising an As-tros' database that contained proprietary information, such as scrouting reports, player statistics and internal trade strategies.
