摘要

This study reported the development of a 2.45 GHz inkjet-printed flexible and deformable antenna for application in wearable wireless communication. The radiating patches and ground plane were fabricated by inkjet printing method. The morphology and electro-mechanical properties of the silver-nanoparticles on the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) flexible substrate were illustrated. Moreover, this study systematically demonstrated modeling and fabrication procedure, as well as investigated radiating properties of the flexible and deformable antenna at 2.45 GHz. The reflection coefficient (-23.4 dB), voltage standing wave ratio (1.56) and the -10 dB bandwidth (860 MHz) of the antenna agreed well with the simulated results. The conformal antenna synthesized in this study exhibited excellent potential for development of inkjet-printed flexible and deformable antennas, which were further used in wearable wireless communication systems.
