Buying activity in the Turkish domestic market for longs, which was quite high two weeks ago, has started subsiding. Forexample, construction projects have slowed down in the country in winter, thus contributing to a decline in demand fromtraders amid quite high stocks. Nevertheless, quotations of finished products keep on rising on the back of growing rawmaterial costs and devaluation of national currency. Buyers believe suppliers will stop lifting their offers shortly, and nextweek the prices will change on currency fluctuations only.
