Synthomer has formally opened its latest 90,000-tonne expansion of Nitrile Latex production facility in Pasir Gudang,Malaysia.The plant was officially opened by the British High Commissioner to Malaysia,Vicki Treadell CMG MVO,supported by Synthomer CEO Calum MacLean,Chairman Neil Johnson and Executive Vice In his speech,Calum MacLean reiterated Synthomer's continuing commitment to investment in supporting the glove industry growth globally.The current investment costing RM 265 million(US$ 63.5 million)is the first of a two-phase expansion in Pasir Gudang,using a new reactor technology.The second phase,adding a further 60,000 tonnes,would be operational sometime in 2020,he says.
