Two indigenous parasitoids are promising candidates for use as biocontrol agents against rice striped stem borers (Chilo supressalis) in north-east China, according to a study by Chinese researchers published in the Journal of Pest Science. Striped stem borers are the most economically damaging rice pest in the north-eastern provinces of Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang.
