Italy has suspended the use of several insecticidal seed treatments over concerns for the health of bees.The suspensions cover:BASF'rfrpronil-based seed treatments;those containing Bayer CropScience's clothianidin and imidacloprid;and Syngenta's thiamethoxam.There are also unconfirmed reports that the seed treatment products have been suspended in Slovenia.The suspensions started on September 20th.Among the affected crops are maize and sugar beet.
