Agrochemical sales in Japan for the 2009 pesticide year (ended September 30th) rose by 2.3%, to ￥340,005 million ($3,771 million at the current rate), according to figures from the Japan Crop Protection Association. However, volumes were down by 5.4% to 206,553 tonnes.
