Monsanto has decided to suspend its investment in glyphosate-tolerant roundup ready canola in australia this year because of the "environment of commercial uncertainty"surrounding genetically modified crops in the country.the business has been under review since the new south Wales (NSW)government turned down requests from monsanto and Bayer CropScience for largescale co-existence trials of GM canola (Agrow No 446,P 20).
