Companies have resubmitted EU approval applications for six existing active ingredients since new procedures came into force in January, the European Commission says. The new system covers ais that have been unsuccessful so far in gaining re-registration and a listing on Annex I of the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414 - Agrow No 536, p 5). It offers "regular" and "accelerated" procedures to reflect the age of the original ai dossiers and how much data is needed to update them.
