A NATIONWIDE SURVEY of DIRECTORS of nursing services (DONs) shows how nurse staffing shortages are making it increasingly difficult for DONs to perform their jobs, which is resulting in lower overall job satisfaction and increasing cases of burnout within the profession. These findings are part of the "2019 AADNS Director of Nursing Services Work Study and Salary Report" published by the American Association of Directors of Nursing Services (AADNS), a subsidiary of the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN).
