The time is near for the world's largest tube- and pipe-oriented expo, Tube~R, held in alternate years in Dusseldorf, Germany. If you haven't attended this expo, it's well worth a visit. It's a biennial meeting of the three constituents of the tube and pipe industry: producers, equipment vendors, and fabricators. Because of an extensive overlap in technology, the expo is co-located with wire~R, which likewise comprises producers, equipment manufacturers, and fabricators. All told, it's a meeting of 70,000 visitors and 2,535 exhibitors. Although the wire and cable side is the larger of the two, the tube and pipe side boasts 31,000 visitors and more than 1,200 exhibitors.
