Primary U.S. propane stocks rose 2.8 MMbbl the week ended May 10, according to the latest This Week in Petroleum report by the Energy Information Administration (EIA). The build lifted volumes to 62.7 MMbbl, 10.3 MMbbl, or 19.7%, greater than the five-year average level for the same time of year and 22.4 MMbbl, or 55.4%, higher than last year. Gulf Coast supplies increased 1.6 MMbbl, the Midwest 600,000 bbl, the East Coast 400,000 bbl, and the Rocky Mountain/West Coast 200,000 bbl. Propylene non-fuel-use stocks represented 8.9% of total inventories, down from 9.6% the previous week. EIA said the nation ended the reporting period with 95.9 days of propane supply, up from 87.6 days a week earlier and from 41.6 days a year ago.
