摘要

Movento~(TM), common chemical name spirotetramat, is a tetramic acid derivative that shows excellent activity against aphids, mealybugs, phylloxera, psyllids, scales, and whiteflies. Compiled results are presented from field trials conducted in the U.S. between 2003 and 2006 on citrus, grape, pome fruits, stone fruits, tree nuts, and vegetable crops using a variety of spirotetramat formulations. Initial and residual performance of Movento was equal or superior to the commercial standards tested. Dueto the unique systemic qualities, Movento provides distinct and significant advantages over many commercial standards for controlling hidden pests or those difficult to contact with spray applications. In addition, the new mode of action for many pest segments will be a welcomed addition to help preserve existing chemical classes for future use. Additional uses on crops such as cotton, soybean, legume vegetables, tropical fruits and others are forthcoming in the future and may justify other solo or combination products, depending on the needs within a given crop segment.
