摘要

In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), the power consumption of sensor nodes is reduced to increase the lifetime of the network. This paper focuses on combining the traditional Ad-Hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) Routing algorithm and energy power consumption mechanism for improvingthe life time of the sensor network. The energy of sensor nodes is increased by supplying the external energy through a battery. External energy supply is based on the energy power consumption mechanism. An attempt has been made to compare the traditional AODV routing algorithm with the externalenergy supplied AODV routing algorithm. The three parameters are such as throughput, end to end delay and packet delivery rate compared with existing work in the literature. The comparison of the simulation results from present work with the existing network without external energy shows a6.85% increase in throughput, 70.6% increase in node end to end delay and an 8.33% decrease in the packet delivery rate.
