We read with interest the article by Abbass et al.1 who reported meta-analytic data on short-term psycho-dynamic psychotherapies (STPPs) in youth. We applaud their adherence to contemporary meta-analytic standards, and their report provides valuable and clearly presented information that merits attention. Within the study strengths, we have 3 concerns and suggest pathways forward.
