Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains is one of the most beautiful natural settings eyes have ever seen. It must have been an easy decision for pioneer Methodist worshipers to choose this spot as the perfect retreat for energizing thesoul. The Creator speaks gently to the human spirit in such a beautiful surrounding. "A visit to Lake Junaluska is of particular appeal to rose lovers because of the beautiful Rose Walk that circles the pristine lake." A few years ago I made my first visit to this natural jewel called Lake Junaluska. It is the showplace of Western North Carolina's natural scenery. Just the mention of its name draws mental intrigue.
