摘要

Celecoxib (CelebrexR), a cyclooxyge-nase-2 inhibitor, has been safely used in patients with hypersensitivity to nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Celecoxib-specific anaphylaxis with no evidence of hypersensitivity to NSAIDs is rare. This report describes two patients who experienced cutaneous symptoms with hypotension after taking celecoxib, which had previously been tolerated in both cases. Tolerance to other NSAIDs was demonstrated. As a conclusion, and despite the well-documented celecoxib tolerance in patients with hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, physicians should be aware of the potential activity of this drug in inducing isolated hypersensitivity reactions.
