Instruction of creativity based on participants' reflective thinking on their creative processes

摘要

In this study, we designed a learning environment to have the participants experience some common creative activities and evaluated its utility by using the environment in a university class. This environment consisted of the following three phases: (1) introduction (studying the basics of Mindstorms), (2) creative activities (producing a creative robot using Mindstorms), (3) self-reflection on the creative activities (constructing a diagram describing their creative processes and discussing about their creative processes). We verified the utility based on the comparison of the pre and post questionnaires and the contents of their discussion. Especially, the following three points were confirmed: (1) the participants correctly acquired knowledge of thinking of ideas, embodying of ideas, and collaboration, (2) they discussed their creative activities from those three viewpoints, and (3) they also discussed the viewpoints considered to be important for creative activity.
