摘要

Results are presented from a study of the androgenetic line And44 (produced by anther culture of the hybrid H99 X Wf9 followed by chromosome doubling and self pollination), the parent hybrid and various hybrids produced by crossing And44 with the lines 3633, LH59, LH148 and Wf9. The young bicellular pollen grain stage was more effective than the unicellular vacuolized pollen grain stage for induction of new forms (regenerants) by means of anther culture. Some genotypes which appeared unresponsive at the earlier stage could be used for haploid production at the later stage. And44 gave better results than the source hybrid. Incorporation of this line in hybrids involving commercial lines rendered these hybrids responsive to culture.
