At the start of the year, domestic tin price fell down to 80,000yuan/t from 90,000yuan/t, following the price fall in world market. And from late February to mid March, the price rebound and touched 95.000yuan/t at high. Then world tin price fell again and drifted down to 8,000 US dollars/t and below, but domestic price kept around 83,000-85,000yuan/t. Price difference .between domestic and world market enlarged and traders undertook arbitration between markets. Producers also import crude tin and processed it in China.
