To the Editor It is well known that ovarian surface-epithelial type tumors can arise from the peritoneum [1]. However, this is a very rare phenomenon [2-10]. They may be intrapelvic tumors [2-8] or retroperitoneal tumors [9, 10]. They take a form of serous tumors, clear cell tumors, mucinous tumors, transitional cell tumors, or squamous cell carcinoma [1]. These intrapelvic and retroperitoneal tumors are difficult to diagnose before operation. They may be benign, borderline, or malignant. Therefore, the pathological diagnosis of the resected specimens is very important. Herein reported is an intrapelvic borderline mucinous cystadenofibroma in a 45-year-old woman.
