Welcome to all our friends from the global coatings industy to the Asia Coatings Congress 2013, taking place, once again, in the spacious Windsor Plaza Hotel. As all of you will know, since the last Asia Coatings Congress in 2011, Vietnam has faced challenging times. Inflation hit a record high of 23% in August 2011 and since then -despite inflation being brought under control - bad debts and a lower than expected economic growth have meant there has been a dampening of demand for paints and coatings.
