摘要

In 2009, Audi, Volkswagen and Seat presented a method of utilising numerical flow simulation for aerodynamic applications based on the OpenFoam open source CFD code. Since then, it has been possible to gather experience from the series-production development of various model lines. Air forces were determined and compared with wind tunnel results. An overview of the validation and successful implementation of the method in the aerodynamics development process shows the advantages of the process.
