TARGETING the mining sector, Liebherr: has spent $20m on an extension to its Singleton facility; is commencing work on an $85m, 30,000m2 Adelaide distribution centre; has begun construction of a facility in Newman, Western Australia; and is set to expand its Mackay and Perth warehouses in the second quarter of 2013. Liebherr Australia's managing director, Greg Graham, said although the company is feeling the impact of declining thermal coal prices on the East Coast, which is causing a reduction in customers' capital expenditure, the vital signs for the operation are good.
