A communications network servicing two types of loads, voice messages and data packets, is investigated. A moving boundary, or flexible multiplexing, strategy is employed to manage voice transfer resources. It is found that the probabilitydistribution of the states in the voice message transfer subsystem is a stationary distribution. The probability of blocking of voice messages, the Laplace-Stieltjes transformation of the wait time conditional distribution, and the conditional mean waittime for the data packets are found. Approximate formulas for the estimators of the probabilities of the number of channels engaged in transmission of data packets are proposed.
