Australian native plants and fauna are dependent on each other for their existence. Growing native plants, whether it is in a suburban block or a country property, will certainly attract native wildlife. Of course, in the sprawling jungle of suburbia(be it in a large city or a regional town) the vast majority of local flora has been lost as our dwellings replace once beautiful bushland. Not only have we lost vast tracts of our bushland but also the native fauna that co-existed there.In the Grampians region many of our APS members live on properties that are larger than suburban lots. Some of these properties, partially 'cleared', still have tracts of original bushland and corridors which make it a little easier to attract fauna from surrounding areas.
